Water Droplet Simulations

These clips show simulations of the motion and visual qualities of water droplets on glass surfaces. I created this technique while a graduate student at UT Austin in Sandy Stone's ACTLab. The technique premiered at the SIGGRAPH 2003 Electronic Art Gallery. Since that time, it has been used in stock footage libraries represented by Artbeats; in Audioslave's "Doesn't Remind Me" music video directed by Chris Milk; and in my own experimental video work. The effect was designed with Adobe After Effects.
